Yay you! Looking forward to all your future Substacks on a myriad of topics. I appreciated Senator Brown’s excellent DC staff when I worked in DC doing Congressional relations for a major federal agency (as a federal employee), and I especially appreciate the way some of your columns let us see a bit of the person Sherron Brown is - all consistent with my experience of working with his office.
How dare anyone challenge your journalistic ethics? The "real" Connie Schultz is a personable, warm, and creative woman and we all wish we lived next door. You stand up for your profession, one that is constantly under assault by those who lie to us and about us. Keep up that good work. We are certainly behind you! I wish I could vote in Ohio, but in Michigan we will need votes as one of our D senators retires.
We look forward to the winning candidate from Ohio who will lead in the right and humane direction and to reading the comments from “The Loving Wife.” Ain’t love grand?
As a Democrat in red Ohio, rest assured Senator Brown has my vote as well as that of my lovely husband, and financial support as we are able. I look forward to your writing throughout the campaign.
Been following your writing for years, Connie, and you've shown that yours is a voice that can be trusted. It has been a lifesaver for me, especially during these turbulent political times. I know these campaigns are rough on a family, but thanks to you and Sherrod for the sacrifices you make on our country's behalf. There could be no better outcome for democracy than his reelection.
"That’s the wonderful thing about love. Over time, love robs the bad memories of their power." -- as someone who also came late to love, this is so so true.
I do also think of Sherrod as Connie Schultz's husband. The Lovely Sherrod.
Can hardly wait to read about your role in the campaign, and your well-reasoned opinions.

Reading with gratitude for your writing and Sherrod's service
As your anniversary buddies (a few years later) I just want to say that picture of you kissing his cheek is literally heartwarming. <3
Stay hopeful and best of luck to the esteemed Senator
We'll all be the better for it.

Ohio is lucky to have your husband representing us and we're lucky he has you beside him. Here's to another successful campaign.
You’ve had so many challenges in your career. You’ve handled them with grace and courage.
You have my complete trust.

Truth teller. Love this side of the story.
