I’ve been working on a Very Serious Essay, but this past weekend I was too distracted to dwell in the abyss of soulful reflection, despite my having pitched a tent there ages ago.
LOVED the dog column....just what we needed for this cold, rainy day, trying to warm up from our walk through the monsoon. A copy should be provided to everyone who adopts or otherwise acquires a pooch for their lives so they know how to get those pictures!!
Your post really made my day. I am a dog person who currently is a "childless cat lady" because of the costs and attention dogs require is beyond my financial abilities right now. I love my shelter rescue cats and they are pretty self-sufficient and loving in their own way. Dogs are the best though. They love you unconditionally. Thanks for posting.
How charming. How 100 percent charming. My black English lab Alvin never takes his eyes off me unless in slumber. A most time event. My husband “you are Alvin’s job and he’s a great employee !”
I sure hope Walter and Franklin are on the senate payroll for mental health coverage. I am totally convinced these two are what make Sherrod the great guy he is. I have never thought of my elected officials as so down to earth as I do Sherrod when I read of his interactions with the boys. Thanks so much for sharing so much with us all. T.
