Love that cat face in the snow picture. The seasons have their moments of wonderment except maybe the summer in central Texas. Hope we're outta here by then.

Love that cat face in the snow picture. All the seasons have their moments of wonderment except maybe the summer. Hope we're outta here by then.

Thank you for NOT writing anything political. Sometimes I will forget there truly is sanity and peace in this world. You have reminded me there is.

I disagree, the Chesire cat is relishing the beautiful winter day!

I enjoy winter. The quiet of a woods blanketed in snow. The crunch of the white stuff underfoot as your breath appears before you is exceptional, and of course cold. It forces one to acknowledge the wonder of nature. I have lived 62 years in the suburbs of Cleveland and I would never trade December and January for any other two months of the year.

Summer on a sailboat in the middle of Lake Erie in July is awesome, but no better than tracking a deer on the hunt during a frosting in late November. Variety is the spice of life and I feel sorry for those that don't experience the four seasons in all their majesty. Living in an area that cherry picks a season or two hides the natural rhythm of time and fosters a boredom of never varying days.

What a beautifully written piece for me to find after reading more disheartening political news.m Serendipitous indeed because I truly needed this today. So glad I found you and your gentle words, Connie. Thank you.

Love this...for so many reasons! You make me laugh and give me hope and ideas to write about... like yard art or a chair cushion! Cold Sunday here in Michigan...but the sun is shining! Just preordered Lola and the Troll from the bookstore where I heard my other favorite author read from her newest book!

Thank you for this lovely writing, lovely observations. Years ago I lived in Ohio, in Bowling Green, and I miss the frequent and deep snows.
